Agile Working

This is the new reference to ‘flexible working’ Big companies are calling it ‘Agile Working’ Its basically code for ‘You will no longer have that desk’.

Company bosses are making employees ditch their desks and work from home in a bid to keep the high office costs down.

Employees are adding agile working to the list of company perks, with some not taking the job unless it includes the option of working from home.

When we recently spoke to an employer who is insisting his staff work from home for 2 days per week, he insisted its working! Only once in a whole year has there been more staff in than desks available. When this does happen there are plenty of breakout spaces or meeting rooms that can double up as workspaces. Staff are more motivated when they are in the office and it gives his company the edge over their competitors in terms of attracting the best staff.

So, if you're still on that train five days a week, then suggest to your boss, ‘Agile working’ is the way forward for not only cost savings but staff retention too!
