Support is there: what our members say...

The current government guidelines advise us to work from home, where we can. We immediately thought of our space282 members and how this affects them? We have remained open during the lockdown to offer support to those who cannot work from home because it’s just not possible. We asked our members for their thoughts on this subject, and why choosing to come into space282 has been so beneficial at this time…

John Hawker, Global Tech Collective founder, tech recruiter, and young father, explains;

“Being able to use my desk at space282 has been massively important, not just for my home life as a parent and partner, but for myself as well - it allows me to have the headspace to work productively, the safety measures are in place and that makes me feel comfortable using the space.”

Tess Fyson, ran her own successful marketing business and now works for Sysdoc, a management consultant company - a role Tess found through space282 co-worker and recruiter, John Hawker. Tess says;

“I have spent the last five years commuting to and from London, and as much as my mental and physical health has increased by not travelling 3 hours a day, it is hard to go from so much social interaction to none at all. space282 is an important break that I need for a change of scenery and to get that office environment fix. It is reassuring to see the same people in here weekly and it is a positive constant in my life when everything else is so crazy!”

Matthew Collins, creative director at Mango Design and also a young father of two, adds;

“Working at space282 has been great since lockdown. Having a separate, and secure, space for working allows my home to remain a home and not an extension of my work. Having the two separate, especially during lockdown, has ensured my work productivity has remained high allowing me to keep a great work-life balance. And that is really important to me.”

Recent extensive research has found that many complain that the home office is cramped, boring, and lonely after a while. Having access to a new, inspiring location that feeds that office culture giving you flexibility and freedom, is a positive step to retaining remote working in a healthy way. We take our health & safety measures very seriously and have put all the advised government guidelines in place.

space282 is here to support you and what you do, so why not book a trial day with us?
